Balilihan, Bohol—SM Foundation recently brought its Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Rural Farmers’ Training Program to this town, with batch 186 successfully completing the dual technology training here.
Some of the 80 participants who completed their training in KSK Batch 186 show off their produce at Villa Unabia in Brgy. Cabad, Balilihan, Bohol.
 
A festive atmosphere prevailed at the demo farm in Brgy. Sal-ing, Balilihan, where the traditional harvest festival was held.
 
It was attended by Regional High Value Crops Development Program Coordinator Susan Kintanar, Brgy. Sal-ing Capt. Joel S. Baquero and his barangay councilors, Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 officers, DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program representatives, and Senior PR Manager of SM Supermalls Viz-Min RJ Leduna.
 
Eighty participants completed the training and were presented by Leonard Mirador of Harbest AgriBusiness Corp. in ceremonies held at Villa Unabia, Brgy. Cabad, Balilihan.
 
Also in attendance at the graduation rite were Municipal Mayor Maria Puresa Chatto, Vice Mayor Adonis Roy Olano, and Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Agriculture Chair Councilor Abel Llorente.
 
Previously, in Tiaong, Quezon, Batch 180 of SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan recently held their Harvest Festival in Brgy. Ayusan 1.
 
The KSK trainees proudly presented their harvests to Tiaong Mayor Ramon Preza, who graced the occasion and encouraged them to share what the learned to the other farmers.
