PASAY CITY, 20 September 2022 – As part of 2GO’s commitment to practice good corporate citizenship and demonstrate support to and awareness of marine preservation, hundreds of its employees actively participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) across 15 sites throughout the country.

Manila hosted the main activity, while 2GO employees in Iloilo, Caticlan, Ormoc, Roxas, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Cagayan De Oro, Ozamis, Davao, General Santos, and Zamboanga staged their own coastal cleanups. Similar activities will likewise be held in Batangas, Cebu, and Dumaguete. “At the heart of 2GO is our people. This activity demonstrates our people’s strong community spirit and desire to raise awareness in helping preserve our coastal resources,” said 2GO Chairman, President, and CEO Frederic C. DyBuncio.

A yearly event, the ICCD is a relevant activity for 2GO since a large part of its business operations is tied to the sea.

The 2GO Manila contingent, led by Mr. DyBuncio, joined the main activity at the SM by the Bay at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) complex. The MOA cleanup was led by SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Prime Holdings.
